OPINION OF MR LENZ — CASE C-324/88 VELLA AND OTHERS

Mr Advocate General Lenz delivered his Opinion on 12 December 1989. He concluded by proposing that the Court should reply as follows to the question submitted to it for a preliminary ruling by the cour du travail, Mons:

‘It follows from Article l(r) of Regulation No 3 and Article l(r) of Regulation (EEC) No 1408/71 that the periods which may be treated as periods of insurance are determined solely by reference to domestic legislation.’
