Having regard to the above applications lodged on the dates indicated in the appended table,

Having deliberated, decides as follows:

FACTS AND PROCEDURE

A list of the applicants is set out in the appendix.

The applicants’ complaints under Article 6 § 1 of the Convention concerning the excessive length of civil proceedings were communicated to the Italian Government (“the Government”), who submitted observations on the admissibility and merits. The observations were forwarded to the applicants, who were invited to submit their own observations.

By a letter sent to the applicants on 4 May 2016, the Registry requested an update on the status of the respective domestic proceedings.

No reply was received to the Registry’s letters.

By a second letter sent to the applicants by registered post on 29 June 2016, the Registry indicated that no reply had been received to the letter of 4 May 2016 and requested the applicants to provide the updates referred to in its previous letter. The applicants’ attention was drawn to Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention and to the fact that, in case of no reply, the Court might assume that the applicants do not intend to pursue the application before the Court and strike their case out of its list of cases. The applicants received this letter on different dates. However, no answer has been received.

THE LAW

Having regard to the similar subject matter of the applications, the Court finds it appropriate to examine them jointly in a single decision.

In the light of the foregoing, the Court concludes that the applicants may be regarded as no longer wishing to pursue the application (Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention). Furthermore, in accordance with Article 37 § 1 in fine , the Court finds no special circumstances regarding respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and the Protocols thereto which require the continued examination of the applications.

Accordingly, the cases should be struck out of the list.

For these reasons, the Court, unanimously,

Decides to join the applications;

Decides to strike the applications out of its list of cases.
