Amendments to Guidance Material (GM) to Annex I - Definitions 1) The title of this Annex is changed to: GM to Annex I -Definitions for terms used in Annexes II - VII 2) In GM1 Annex I Definitions, the following new definition is inserted in alphabetical order and the existing definitions are respectively renumbered: (q) ‘Personal locator beacon (PLB)’ is an emergency beacon other than an ELT that broadcasts distinctive signals on designated frequencies, is standalone, portable and is manually activated by the survivors. 3) In GM2 Annex I Definitions, the following items are added in alphabetical order in the list of abbreviations and acronyms: COSPAS-SARSAT cosmicheskaya sistyema poiska avariynich sudov - search and rescue satellite-aided tracking PLB personal locator beacon
