Europarådets medlemsstater, signatärer av detta tilläggsprotokoll, som anser det angeläget att förlänga giltighetstiden för den europeiska överenskommelsen om skydd för televisionssändningar och för protokollet till överenskommelsen till förmån för de stater som ännu ej är parter i den internationella konventionen om skydd för utövande konstnärer, framställare av fonogram och radioföretag, vilken undertecknades i Rom den 26 oktober 1961,2 har överenskommit om följande :

A rtikel 1

Artikel 3, stycket 2, i protokollet till överenskommelsen ersätts av följande text:

Europarådets generalsekreterare skall underrätta rådets medlemsstater, övriga avtalsslutande parter i överenskommelsen och generaldirektören för Världsorganisationen för imm aterialrätt om varje undertecknande av detta tilläggsprotokoll jämte eventuella förbehåll beträffande ratifikation och om deposition av varje ratifikationsinstrument för tilläggsprotokollet eller anslutningsinstrum entet därtill och om den dag som avses i artikel 3, stycket 1, i detta tilläggsprotokoll.

Till bekräftelse härav har undertecknade, därtill vederbörligen befullmäktigade, undertecknat detta tilläggsprotokoll.

Som skedde i Strasbourg den 14 januari 1974 på engelska och franska språken, vilka båda texter äger lika vitsord, i ett enda exemplar som skall deponeras i Europarådets arkiv. Europarådets generalsekreterare skall tillställa var och en av signatärstaterna och tillträdande stater bestyrkt avskrift härav.
