Nr 38 Avtal om Internationella COSPAS-SARSAT-programmet Paris den 1 juli 1988
Regeringen beslutade den 21 juni 1990 att ansluta sig till avtalet. Samma dag underrättades Internationella civila luftfartsorganisationen genom ett standardavtal om Sveriges anslutning till programmet som brukarstat. Avtalet trädde i kraft den 30 augusti 1988 och för Sverige trädde det i kraft den 24 oktober 1990.

Artikel 15
Tvistlösning
1. Varje tvist rörande tolkningen eller genomförandet av detta avtal skall lösas genom förhandlingar mellan de berörda parterna.
2. Om en lösning inte kan nås genom sådana förhandlingar, får tvisten hänskjutas till skiljedomsförfarande, om de berörda parterna kommer överens om detta.
Artikel 16
Anslutning
1. Detta avtal skall stå öppet för anslutning av varje stat som samtycker till att bidra med minst en grundenhet till rymdsegmentet och är beredd att påta sig de skyldigheter som åligger en part i enlighet med detta avtal.
2. När en stat ansluter sig till detta avtal och påtar sig skyldigheten att bidra med en grundenhet till det befintliga rymdsegmentet, antingen enligt artikel 3.1 eller med de förbättringar som anges i artikel 3.2, skall den komma överens om detta med den part som vid tillfället tillhandahåller den grundenheten samt i samråd med de övriga parterna.
3. 4. När kraven i artikel 16.2 eller 16.3, vilkendera som är tillämplig, har tillgodosetts och staten har underrättats, får denna stat ansluta sig genom att deponera sitt anslutningsinstrument hos depositarien.

Artikel 18

4. Depositarien skall omedelbart underrätta alla parter om mottagandet av underrättelserna om godtagande av ändringar samt när ändringarna träder i kraft.
Artikel 19
Depositarie
1. Internationella civila luftfartsorganisationens generalsekreterare och Internationella sjöfartsorganisationens generalsekreterare skall vara depositarier för detta avtal.
