REGULATION No 669/67/EEC OF THE COMMISSION
of 28 September 1967 laying down certain detailed rules for the application of export refunds on rice
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation MUNITIES, are in accordance . with the Opinion of the Management Committee for Cereals ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the1 European Economic Community ; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to Council Regulation No Article 1 359 /67/ EEC 1 of 25 July 1967 on the common organisation of the market in rice, and in particular Article 17 (6) thereof; For the 1967/68 marketing year the export refund fixed in accordance with the fourth subparagraph of Article 17 ( 2) of Regulation No 359/67/EEC in Whereas the market demand in certain countries for respect of the products listed in Article 1 ( 1 ) (a) of rice containing a substantial percentage of broken that Regulation falling within heading No 10.06B of rice makes it necessary to enable Community traders the Common Customs Tariff shall apply to rice to have access . to those markets ; whereas to this end containing not more than 5% by weight of broken an adequate refund should be granted on rice rice . containing up to 40% of broken rice; whereas, however, in order to prevent speculation, the amount of such refund should be progressively reduced in Article 2 proportion to the percentage of broken rice; The export refund on rice containing more than 5% of broken rice shall be subject to the reductions Whereas administrative procedures' and particularly shown in the Annex . supervision should be simplified as far as possible especially in order to forestall objections that might Article 3 result from too rigid a system of reductions ;

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
