REGULATION (EEC) No 445/68 OF THE COUNCIL of 9 April 1968 amending Regulation No 174/67/EEC on special intervention measures for cereals

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , measures must be adopted within six working days following that on which the request was made ; whereas experience has shown that this period is Having regard to the Treaty establishing the Euro­ too short for the Commission to examine thoroughly pean Economic Community ; requests from Member States, to convene and inform the Management Committee for Cereals and to Having regard to Council Regulation No 120/67/ adopt its decision; EEC1 of 13 June 1967 on the common organisation of the market in cereals, and in particular the first subparagraph of Article 8 thereof; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; Sole Article Whereas Article 1 of Council Regulation No 174/67/ EEC2 of 27 June 1967 on special intervention measures For the words 'six working days' in the last sentence for cereals provides that the Commission decision of the first subparagraph of Article 1 of Regulation on a request by a Member State for authorisation for No 174/67/EEC, there shall be substituted the words its intervention agency to take special intervention 'twelve working days'.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
