REGULATION (EEC) No 863 /69 OF THE COMMISSION of 8 May 1969

amending Regulation (EEC) No 1024/68 as regards the calculation of the import price for calves

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM­ account the weighting coefficients applicable to MUNITIES, feeder calves (Fedekalve) should be amended on the basis of the relative number of each quality ;

Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC) No 1024/682 Whereas the Management Committee for Beef and of 22 July 1968 on the calculation of the import price Veal has not issued an Opinion within the time limit for calves and adult bovine animals lays down that set by its Chairman ; the import price of calves should be based on the weighted average of quotations recorded for the various qualities of calves on the most representative HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : markets of Denmark; whereas weighting should be done with coefficients which reflect the quantity of Article 1 each quality on those markets ; whereas the weighted average referred to above must be increased by 1-25 units of account per 100 kilogramme live weight The figure 11.75 shall be substituted for the figure representing the cost of transport of calves to the 2.50 in Article 1 ( 1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 1024/68 . frontiers of the Community and by the same amount per 100 kilogramme live weight in compensation for the differences in quality in comparison with calves Article 2 in the Community; The Annex to this Regulation shall be substituted for Annex I to Regulation (EEC) No 1024/68 . Whereas, since the above-mentioned Regulation was adopted, exports of sucking calves (Maelkekalve) from Denmark to the Community have decreased Article 3 considerably; whereas, consequently, it is advisable not to use the quotations recorded on the most representative markets in Denmark for the products This Regulation shall come into force on 12 May in question; whereas to take this situation into 1969 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
