REGULATION (EEC) No 849/70 OF THE COMMISSION

amending Regulations (EEC) Nos 1403/69 and 1404/69 as regards , the denaturing of common wheat

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM­ denaturing premium for common wheat with a MUNITIES, specific weight exceeding 77 kg/hi ; whereas , this provision should be revoked ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; Whereas therefore the title of Table B in the Annex to Commission Regulation (EEC) No 1404/696 of 18 July 1969 fixing the denaturing premium for Having regard to Council Regulation No common wheat for the 1969/70 marketing year 120/67/EEC1 of 13 June 1967 on the common should be amended ; organisation of the market in cereals, as last amended ' by Regulation (EEC) No 1463/69,2 and in particular Article 7 (5 ) thereof; Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the Opinion of the Management Committee for Cereals ; Whereas Article 4 of Council Regulation No 172/67/EEC3 of 27 June 1967 on general rules governing the denaturing of wheat and rye of HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : breadmaking quality, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2096/68 ,4 provides that the denaturing premium shall be fixed before the beginning of and Article 1 for the duration of each marketing year ; whereas the premium may, however, be altered where the Article 4 (2) of Regulation (EEC) No 1403/69 and Community market in cereals is likely to be Annex II to that Regulation shall be deleted with disturbed ; effect from 1 June 1970 .

Whereas present circumstances in the market in Article 2 cereals of breadmaking quality, and in particular the satisfactory progress made in the disposal of sur­ pluses of common wheat of a high specific weight, The following shall be substituted for the title of may disturb the market in that cereal where Table B in the Annex to Regulation (EEC ) No 1404/ 69 : denaturing is still encouraged ;

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
