REGULATION (EEC) No 898/70 OF THE COMMISSION of 19 May 1970 fixing, for oils and fats, the tolerances provided for in Article 5 of Regulation (EEC) No 786/69
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN fixed for each product, allowance being made for the COMMUNITIES, location of the products in store;
Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation Economic Community; are in accordance with the Opinion of the Manage ment Committee for Oils and Fats, Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 786/691 of 22 April 1969 on the financing of inter vention expenditure in respect of the internal market HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : in oils and fats, and in particular Article 5 (2) (c) thereof;
Article 1 i Whereas according to Article 4 of Regulation (EEC) For the application of Article 5 (2) '.(c) of Regulation No 786/69 it is" for intervention agencies to draw up, (EEC) No 786/69 : for each marketing year and for each product for which an intervention price is fixed, an account to which are credited the items mentioned in Article (a) as regards olive oil and olive residue oil: ...... 5 (2) of that Regulation; whereas one of these items the quantities of oil bought in, sold or in store is the value of quantity loss in excess of a fixed shall be entered in the : accounts at a weight tolerance; corresponding to that of an oil containing a per centage of water and impurities which does not give rise to any deduction of weight when bought Whereas provision should be made for uniform in by the intervention agency; criteria for the determination of the quantities pur chased, stored and sold by the intervention agencies, (b) as regards oil seeds : so that this tolerance may be fixed correctly; the quantities of oil seeds bought in, sold or ini store shall be entered in the accounts at a weight, Whereas the quantities bought in during the 1967/68 corresponding to that of seeds containing 10 %■ marketing year were not sold during that year; moisture and 2 % impurities. whereas it was therefore not possible to ascertain quantity loss during that year; whereas those products were sold beginning in the 1968/69 year; whereas it is therefore necessary, when fixing the tolerance for Article 2 the 1968/69 year, to take account also of quantity For the purposes of the accounts for the 1967/68 and loss in store during the 1967/68 year; whereas there 1968/69 marketing years the tolerances provided for is not enough experience to permit of the fixing of a in Article 5 (2) (c) of Regulation (EEC) No 786/69 tolerance for the 1969/70 year at this stage; shall be fixed for both years at the following percent ages of the total quantities entering during those years : Whereas the tolerance should allow only for quantity loss which is normal for the product; whereas a uni 1 . in respect of olive oil : 0-55 % ; form tolerance for the whole Community should be 2. in respect of colza and rape seed : 0-45 % ;

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
