REGULATION (EEC) No 1020/70 OF THE COMMISSION

of 29 May 1970

on recording quotations and fixing average prices for table wines

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Article 4

Article 1 The marketing centre of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg shall be the wine-growing region of the Luxembourg Moselle for table wines of the A II and The marketing centres of the Federal Republic of A III types . Germany shall be :

Article 5 (a) for table wines of the R III type : Rheinpfalz, Rheinhessen (Hiigelland); A commission for the recording of quotations (hereinafter called 'commission') shall be set up by the Member States, where it. does not exist already, ( b ) for table wines of the A II type : for each of the marketing centres, mentioned in Rheinpfalz (Oberhaardt), Rheinhessen (Hügel­ Articles 1 to 4 and corresponding to an area under land); vindes larger than 2000 hectares.

(c) for table wines of the A III type : Article 6 Mosel, Rheingau. When setting up a commission, Member States shall ensure that all the parties concerned are represented Article 2 proportionally to their importance in the marketing centre for which it is set up . 1 . The marketing centres of the French Republic shall be : Article 7 ( a) for table wines of the R I type : 1 . The commissions shall collect at least once a Béziers, Montpellier, Narbonne, Nîmes, Per­ week information relating to the transactions which pignan ; took place between producers and purchasers during the days following their previous meeting. (b) for table wines of the A I type : 2. The commissions shall forward the information Bordeaux, Montpellier, Nantes . referred to in paragraph 1 to the competent agency at the end of each meeting. \ 2. The marketing centres referred to in paragraph 1 shall be the representative markets referred to in Article 8 Article 4 (2) of Regulation (EEC) No 816/70 .

1 . Member States shall, without delay, forward to Article 3 the Commission by telex the information received from each commission, together, where appropriate, 1 . The marketing centres of the Italian Republic with their comments, in particular in respect of the shall be : trend of quotations .

( d ) the vine variety, in the case of table wines of the R III, A II and A III types ; 2 . The marketing centres referred to in paragraph 1 shall be the representative markets referred to in (e) the quantity covered by the transactions for the Article 4 (2) of Regulation (EEC) No 816/70 . period under consideration .

Article 9 the alcoholic strength and the quality of table wines which have been the subject of the transactions. 1 . Every Tuesday, and for the first time on 16 June 1970 , the Commission shall fix the average price, per 2 . The Commission shall fix the average price Article 12 referred to in Article 9 ( 1 ) on the basis of the average of the quotations notified, taking account in particular of the extent to which they are This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 June representative, the comments of the Member States, 1970 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
