applying the additional class to certain citrus fruits

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM­ Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation MUNITIES, are in accordance with the Opinion of the Management Committee for Fruit and Vegetables ;

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to Council Regulation No 158/66/EEC1 of 25 October 1966 on applying the Article 1 common quality standards to fruit and vegetables marketed within the Community, as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2516/69,2 and in particular The following addendum shall be made to the Annex Article 2 (2 ) thereof; to Commission Regulation (EEC) No 1017/704 of 29 May 1970 applying additional classes to certain fruit, Whereas Council Regulation No 211/66/EEC3 of 14 as amended by Regulation No 1460/705. December 1966 supplied an additional class to the ' Oranges : until 30 June 1971 . common quality standard for citrus fruits ; Mandarins, Clementines, satsumas, tangerines and Whereas, pursuant to Article 2 (2). of Regulation No. wilkings : until 31 March 1971 .' 158/66/EEC, additional classes may be applied only if the products qualifying for those classes are needed to meet consumer demand ; whereas such demand Article 2 now exists in respect of citrus fruits other than lemons ; whereas, in view of the considerable fluctuations in production from one marketing year This Regulation shall enter into force on the day to another, the period of application of the additional following its publication in the Official Journal of the class should be limited; European Communities.
