REGULATION (EEC) No 2395/70 OF THE COMMISSION

on the marketing stage to which the average price of pig carcases refers
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM Whereas Council Regulation (EEC) No 2108/705 of MUNITIES, 20 October 1970 defined the Community scale for grading pig carcases ; whereas the value of the standard quality of pig carcases employed in that Having regard to the Treaty establishing the scale is about 2% higher than that of the former European Economic Community ; standard quality ;
Whereas, to permit comparison to be made between Having regard to Council Regulation No the average price of pig carcases calculated on the 121 /67/EEC 1 of 13 June 1967 on the common basis of national quality grades and categories and organisation of the market in pigmeat, as last the basic price ruling for the new standard quality, it amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1253 /702 and in is necessary to increase the former by 2% ; particular Article 4 ( 6) thereof; Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the Opinion of the Whereas the six representative markets comprise, for Management Committee for Pigmeat; . each country, all the markets listed in the Annex to Council Regulation No 213/67/EEC3 of 27 June 1967 establishing the list of representative markets for HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : pigmeat in the Community, as last amended by' Regulation (EEC) No 2090/704 ; Article 1

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .

ANNEX
Method of determining pig carcase prices in countries of the Community
BELGIUM : Average of, on the one hand, the quotation at Anderlecht and , on the other hand, of the average of quotations on the other markets . 1 . At Anderlecht: (a) Conversion of the price, excluding tax, for live pig of medium fat quality into a dead weight price by application of the coefficient 1-30. (b ) reduction of that price by 3% to make it com parable at the marketing stage. 2. On each of the other markets : average of quotations for the 3 grades Bl — B2 — CI .
GERMANY : 1 . Average of the prices, excluding tax, for live swine of Grade C, one for each market. 2 . Conversion of that average into a dead weight price by application of the coefficient 1-30. 3 . Reduction of that price by 3% to make it comparable at the marketing stage.
FRANCE : 1 . For each market, weighting of the quotations by 40% for Grade B and 60% for Grade C. 2 . Average of the quotations one for each market.
ITALY : 1 . Average of prices, excluding tax, for live swine of the three weight categories of 125 to 145 kg, of 146 to 160 kg and of 161 to 180 kg. 2 . Average of the prices, one for each market, the markets of Macerata and Perugia being considered as a single market. 3 . Addition of 3 Lit. per kg live weight for transport costs. 4. Conversation into a deadweight price by application of the coefficient 1-30.
LUXEMBOURG : ·. Average of the quotations for Grade A, one for each market.
NETHERLANDS : 1 . For each market, weighting of the quotations for 'vleeswarenvarkens ' by 25% for the 1st quality, 50% for the 2nd quality and 25% for the 3rd quality. 2. Addition of Fl 0Ό4 per kg to the market quotations, except that of Arnhem, for transport costs. 3 . Average of the quotations, one for each market.
