REGULATION (EEC) No 2699/70 OF THE COMMISSION

of 30 December 1970 widening the scope of Regulation (EEC) No 2232/70 on private storage aid for table wines which stand in close economic relationship with the R I and A I types of table wine

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM­ with those types; whereas those wines are moreover MUNITIES, available in sufficient quantities to exert an unfavourable influence on table wine prices; whereas provision should therefore be made whereby storage Having regard to the Treaty establishing the contracts may be concluded for these wines as well; European Economic Community;

Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No are in accordance with the Opinion of the 816/701 of 28 April 1970 laying down additional Management Committee for Wine; provisions for the common organisation of the market in wine, as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1253/70,2 and in particular the second subparagraph of Article 5 (7) thereof; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Whereas, in - certain regions which normally produce tables wines of types R I and A I, the weather last summer led to an appreciable rise in alcoholic Article 2 strengths ; whereas, because of this, some marketing centres have table wines available whose characteristics differ from those of types R I and A I This Regulation shall enter into force on the third only in having a higher alcoholic strength; whereas day following its publication in the Official Journal they therefore stand in close economic relationship of the European Communities.
