REGULATION (EEC) No 334/71 OF THE COMMISSION of 16 February 1971 supplementing Regulation (EEC) No 142/69 laying down certain detailed rules for the application of the quota system for sugar

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation MUNITIES, are in accordance with the Opinion of the Management Committee for Sugar; Having regard to the Treaty establishing , the European Economic Community ; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to Council Regulation No 1009 / 67/ECC 1 of 18 December 1967 on the common organisation of the market in sugar, as last amended Article 1 by Regulation (EEC) No 1253/70,2 and in particular Article 27 ( 7) thereof; The following paragraph 2a shall be added to Article 5 of Regulation (EEC) No 142/69 : Whereas Article 5 of Commission Regulation (EEC) No 142/693 of 25 January 1969 laying down certain '2a Member States shall determine the amount detailed rules for the application of the quota system to be paid by all sugar manufacturers concerned for sugar, as amended by Regulation (EEC) No not later than one month before each of the dates 755/70,4 specifies dates for the collection of the specified in paragraphs 1 and 2.' production levy; whereas, in view of Article 2 of Council Regulation (EEC, Euratom, ECSC) No 2/71 5 of 2 January 1971 on the application of the Decision of 21 April 1970 on the replacement of the financial Article 2 contributions of Member States by the Communities' own resources, Member States should be required to determine, before the dates specified, the amounts to This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 March be paid by the manufacturers concerned; 1971 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
