REGULATION (EEC) No 705/71 OF THE COMMISSION of 31 March 1971

amending Regulation (EEC) No 1027/68 on the determination of prices of calves and adult bovine animals on representative Community markets

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM­ applicable; whereas the provisions of Regulation MUNITIES, ( EEC ) No 1027/68 relating thereto now serve no purpose and should therefore be repealed ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; Whereas the coefficients expressing the relative number of bovine animals in each Member State, Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No used in calculating the price on representative 805/68 1 of 27 June 1968 on the common organisation Community markets, should be brought up to date ; of the market in beef and veal, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1253/702 and in particular Whereas the measures laid down in this Regulation Article 10 (5 ) thereof; are in accordance with the Opinion of the Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC ) No 1027/68 3 Management Committee for Beef and Veal ; of 22 July 1968 on the determination of prices of calves and adult bovine animals on representative HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Community markets laid down the representative markets of each Member State for the various Article 1 qualities of calves, adult bovine animals or the meat of these animals, as the case may be ; Annexes I and II to this Regulation shall be Whereas, in order to clarify market definitions in substituted for Annexes I and II to Regulation (EEC) France for adult bovine animals and to take account, No 1027/68 ; in Germany, of certain structural alterations in the market for adult bovine animals and calves, the list Article 2 of representative markets for these two countries Article 1 second paragraph ' and Article 5 (3 ) of appearing in Annex II to Regulation (EEC) No 1027/68 should be amended ; Regulation (EEC) No 1027/68 are hereby repealed.

Whereas under Article 1 of Council Regulation (EEC) Article 3 No 541/704 of 20 .March 1970 on agriculture in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg the provisions of the This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 April first subparagraph of Article 1 ( 1 ) of the Protocol on 1971 . It shall first apply for the calculation of the the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg are no longer levies valid from 5 April 1971 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
