REGULATION (EURATOM) No 1409/71 OF THE COUNCIL of 24 June 1971 amending the conditions governing remuneration and social security for establishment staff of the Joint Nuclear Research Centre employed in the Federal Republic of Germany
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, 1 . In Article 3 ( a), 'DM 70' shall be substituted for 'DM 65 '. Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC, Euratom, ECSC ) No 259/68 1 of 29 February 1968 In Article 3 ( c), ' 62 2/3% ' shall be substituted for on the Staff Regulations of Officials of the European '50% ' and 'DM 30' shall be substituted for 'DM Communities and the Conditions of Employment of 25 '. Other Servants of the Communities, and in particular the second paragraph of Article 4 and Articles 94 and 95 of those Conditions of Employment; The following paragraph shall be added to that Article : Having regard to Council Regulation No 9/65/Euratom of 16 March 1965 laying down the 'Establishment staff shall on request receive from conditions governing remuneration and social 1 January 1971 a grant of DM 13 per month as a security for staff of the Joint Nuclear Research savings contribution within the meaning of the Centre employed in the Federal Republic of law on capital accumulations (Vermogensbildungs Germany,2 as last amended by Regulation gesetz). The provisions of the third law for the (Euratom ) No 2094/703 ; encouragement of saving by workers (Gesetz zur Forderung der Vermogensbildung der Arbeitneh mer) (3 . Verm.BG), text of 27 June 1970, shall Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; apply by analogy.'
Whereas in view of the increases of remuneration for staff covered by the Bundesangestelltentarifvertrag 2. The following sentence shall be added to Article and the Manteltarifvertrag fur die Arbeiter des 4(3 ): Bundes, Regulation No 9 /65/Euratom should be amended ; 'This allowance shall be reduced by DM 34 from 1 January 1971, if the remuneration of the member of establishment staff falls within Class 1 , Groups 1 to 4 or Class II Group I; it shall be HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : reduced by- DM 27 for members whose remuneration falls within Class I, Group 5 of Class II, Groups 2 to 4.' Article 1
Regulation No 9/65 / Euratom shall be amended as 3 . The following Annex shall be substituted for follows : the existing Annex :

Article2¶
This Regulation shall apply from 1 January 1971 .
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
