REGULATION (EEC) No 1708/71 OF THE COUNCIL

of 26 July 1971 on the financing of intervention expenditure in respect of the market in flax and hemp

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , 6 ( 1 ) of Regulation No 17/64/EEC and Article 3 ( 1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 729/70 ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Having regard to Council Regulation No Article 1 17/64/EEC1 of 5 February 1964 on the conditions for granting aid from the European Agricultural 1 . In pursuance of Article 6 ( 1 ) of Regulation No Guidance and Guarantee Fund, as last amended by 17/64/EEC and Article 3 of Regulation (EEC) No Regulation (EEC) No 2591/70 ,2 and in particular 729/70, expenditure resulting from the following Article 6 (2 ) thereof; measures in the market in flax and hemp shall be financed by the Guarantee Section of the Fund, under Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC ) No the conditions laid down in this Regulation : 729/703 of 21 April 1970 on the financing of the (a) aid pursuant to Article 4 of Regulation (EEC) No common agricultural policy, and in particular Article 1308/70 for flax and hemp produced in the 3 (2) thereof; Community ; Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; (b ) interventions in the internal market for flax and hemp fibre of Community origin, carried out Whereas it is necessary to determine the conditions pursuant to Article 5 of Regulation (EEC) No for granting aid from the Guarantee Section of the 1308/70 in the form of aid to private storage.
