REGULATION (EEC) No 2407/71 OF THE COUNCIL

of 9 November 1971 extending to other imports the Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 109/70 establishing common rules for imports from state-trading countries

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, be authorised to bring such Annex up to date and to have it published ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 109/ 701 of 19 December 1969 establishing common rules Article 1 for imports from state-trading countries, . and in particular Article 2 thereof; The Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 109/70 shall be Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; extended to include imports of the products listed in the Annex to this Regulation imported from the third Whereas in respect of certain products not yet listed countries indicated by an asterisk. in the Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 109/70 quantitative restrictions have been removed in all Article 2 Member States as regards the People's Republic of China, North Korea, North Vietnam and Mongolia ; The Commission is authorised to publish the . Annex Whereas the inclusion of those products in the Annex to EEC Regulation No 109/70 in the version as to Regulation (EEC) No 109/70 is not liable to create extended by Regulations (EEC) Nos 1492/70,2 a situation where the application of protective 2172/70,3 2567/70,4 532/71 ,5 725 /71 ,« 1073 /71 ,7 measures within the meaning of Title IV of that 1074/71 ,8 2385/71,9 2386/71 ,10 2406/71 11 and by this Regulation would be justified ; Regulation .
