REGULATION (EEC) No 2854/71 OF THE COMMISSION

amending, as regards tariff nomenclature for pigmeat, Regulations No 204/67/EEC and (EEC) Nos 2403 /69, 2275/71 and 2630/71

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM­ HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : MUNITIES,

* Article 1 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; 1 . In Annex 1 to Regulation No 204/ 67/EEC, Annexes A and B to Regulation (EEC) No 2275/71 Having regard to Council Regulation No and in the Annex to Regulation (EEC ) No 2630/71 , 121/67/EEC1 of 13 June 1967 on the common the following shall be substituted for the description organisation of the market in pigmeat, as last of goods falling within heading No 02-05 of the amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2727/71 ,2 and in Common Customs Tariff : particular Articles 8 , 10 (4) and 12 ( 1 ), the first subparagraph of Article 15 (5 ) and Article 15 (6) 'Pig fat free of lean meat and poultry fat (not thereof; rendered or solvent-extracted), fresh, chilled , frozen, salted, in brine, dried or smoked.' Whereas the tariff nomenclature was amended, in particular with regard to headings Nos 02-05 and 15-01 A of the Common Customs Tariff, by Council 2. In Annex I to Regulation No 204/67/EEC, Regulation (EEC) No 2727/71 of 20 December 1971 ; Annexes A, B and C to Regulation (EEC ) No whereas, this has given rise in certain cases to an 2275 /71 , Annex I to Regulation ( EEC ) No 2403 /69 amended tariff classification for pigmeat products ; and in the Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 2630/71 , the following shall be substituted for the description Whereas Commission Regulation No 204/67/EEC3 of of goods falling within heading No 15-01 of the 28 June 1967, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) Common Customs Tariff : No 1620/71 ,4 Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2275/715 of 25 October 1971 , Commission 'Lard, other pig fat and poultry fat, rendered or Regulation (EEC) No 2403 /696 of 1 December 1969 , solvent-extracted .' as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1438/70,7 and Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2630/71 8 of 10 December 1971 must therefore be adapted; Article 2 Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the Opinion of the This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January Management Committee for Pigmeat ; 1972 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
