REGULATION (EEC) No 648/72 OF THE COUNCIL of 30 March 1972 fixing the threshold prices for certain milk products for the 1972/73 marketing year

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Article 1 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; 1 . Threshold prices for the 1972/73 marketing year shall be as follows : Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No Pilot product of the Units of account 804/68 1 of 27 June 1968 on the common organization group of products per 100 kg of the market in milk and milk products, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1411/71 ,2 and in 1 21-50 particular Article 4 thereof; 2 67-00 3 116-70 Having regard to the proposal from the Commission; 4 49-45 5 66-10 "Whereas threshold prices must be fixed at such a 6 201-15 level that the prices of imported milk products 7 170-03 correspond to the target price for milk, allowance 8 147-15 being made for the protection necessary for the 9 227-40 Community processing industry ; whereas, conse­ 10 156-05 quently, the threshold price should be fixed on the 11 139-90 basis of the target price for milk, taking into account 12 43-00 the relationship which it is desired to establish between the value of milkfat and that of skimmed 2. The pilot products referred to in paragraph 1 milk, as well as the standardized costs and yields for are those described in Annex I to Council Regulation each of the milk products in question ; whereas a (EEC) No 823/68s of 28 June 1968 determining the fixed amount should be included for the adequate groups of products and the special provisions for protection of the Community processing industry; calculating levies on milk and milk products, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 650/724 . Whereas the threshold prices should be fixed for the trading stage at which imported milk products first Article 2 come into competition with milk products manufactured in the Community, i.e. the 'delivered This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 April free wholesaler' stage ; 1972 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
