on requests for reimbursement under EAGGF, Guarantee Section, for the accounting
periods 1967/68 to 1970

Note on the calculation of ton/days of storage (Table III (a))
1 . The number of ton /days of storage to be taken for calculating the eligible amount of ex penditure on the public storage of butter for the 1967/68 accounting period shall be arrived at as follows :
- calculate the net entries and net withdrawals each fortnight , fortnights running from the 1st to the 15th of each month and from the 16th to the end of the month, except for the last fortnight of the period which runs from 16 to 28 July 1968 ;
- calculate the tonnage of butter in stock at the end of the fortnight by adding net entries to or deducting net withdrawals from the stock since the beginning of the fortnight, stock on 1 April 1967 being taken as the basis ;
- multiply aggregate stocks at the end of the fortnight, plus half the stock on 1 April 1967 and minus half the stock on 28 July 1968, by 15-2 .
2. The number of ton /days of storage to be taken for calculating the eligible amount of ex penditure on the private storage of butter shall be arrived at as in paragraph 1 for public storage , cream being added to the butter after conversion into butter equivalent by applying the coefficient 1-18 to the fat content of the cream . The date of withdrawal of butter from private storage shall be reckoned as the date on which the butter under contract ceases to rate for the daily premiums.
