REGULATION (EEC) No 780/72 OF THE COUNCIL of 17 April 1972 suspending the autonomous Common Customs Tariff duty on sweet oranges, fresh, falling within subheading No ex 08.02 A I (a) and on grapefruit falling within subheading No 08.02 D

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Article 1 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, and in particular The autonomous Common Customs Tariff duty on Article 113 thereof; sweet oranges, fresh, falling within subheading No ex 08.02 A I ( a) shall be suspended at 5% for the periods from 1 June to 30 September 1972 and from Having regard to the Council Decision of 11 1 June to 30 September 1973 . February 1972 on the conclusion of an agreement between the European Economic Community and the Article 2 United States of America ; The autonomous Common Customs Tariff duty on grapefruit falling within subheading No 08.02 D shall Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; be suspended at 4% for the period from 1 April 1972 to 31 December 1973 .

Whereas the tariff suspensions provided for in the Article 3 abovementioned agreement should be brought into force ; This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
