REGULATION (EEC) No 802/72 OF THE COUNCIL of 17 April 1972 fixing aid for flax and hemp for the 1972/73 marketing year

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Whereas in accordance with Article 4 (2) of that Regulation aid shall be fixed per hectare sown and harvested so as to ensure a balance between the Having regard to the Treaty establishing the required volume of production within the Community European Economic Community, and in particular and the potential outlets for that production ; whereas Article 43 thereof; when that aid is being fixed account must be taken of the price for flax and hemp fibres and seeds on the world market and of the price for other com­ Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No peting natural products ; 1308 /701 of 29 June 1970 on the common organization of the market in flax and hemp, and in particular Article 4 (3 ) thereof; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; Sole Article Having regard to the Opinion of the European Parliament ; For the 1972/73 marketing year the aid provided for in Article 4 of Regulation (EEC) No 1308/70 shall be : Whereas Article 4 of Regulation (EEC) No 1308/70 — 135 units of account per hectare for flax, provides for the annual fixing of aid for flax and hemp produced within the Community ; — 115 units of account per hectare for hemp .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
