REGULATION (EEC) No 1167/72 OF THE COMMISSION
of 5 June 1972
amending Regulation (EEC) No 2196/71 of 13 October 1971 on a derogation from Regulation (EEC) No 2637/70 as regards the period of validity of import licences for rice originating in and coming from certain distant countries
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation MUNITIES , are in accordance with the Opinion of the Manage ment Committee for Cereals ;
Having regard to the Treaty establishing the HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : European Economic Community ;
Article 1 Having regard to Council Regulation No 359/67/ EEC1 of 25 July 1967 on the common organization of The following shall be substituted for Article 1 ( 2) the market in rice, as last amended by Regulation of Regulation (EEC) No 2196/71 , as last amended by ( EEC) No 2726/71 ,2 and in particular Article 10 (2 ) Commission Regulation (EEC) No 921 /728 of 3 May thereof; 1972 :
Having regard to Council Regulation No 365/67 'By way of derogation from Article 20 of Regu EEC3 of 25 July 1967 on rules for the advance fixing lation (EEC) No 2637/70, an import licence for of levies on rice and broken rice, as last amended by products listed in Article 1 ( 1 ) ( a) and (b) of Regulation (EEC) No 2435 /70,4 and in particular Regulation No 359/67/EEC originating in and Article 8 thereof; coming from countries in zone VII ( a) and (b) listed in Annex A to Commission Regulation (EEC) No 941 /72 of 5 May 1972 redefining the Whereas Article 1 (2 ) of Commission Regulation destination zones for export refunds on cereals (EEC) No 2196/71 5 refers to the zone V ( c) as defined in the Annex to Commission Regulation No 694/ and rice, shall be valid for 90 days from its date of issue within the meaning of Article 8 ( 1 ) of 67/EEC0 of 10 October 1967 ; whereas that Regu Regulation (EEC) No 1373 /70. lation was repealed on 31 May 1972 and replaced by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 941 /727 of 5 May 1972 redefining the destination zones for export Sections 13 and 14 of the application for a licence refunds on cereals and rice ; whereas consequently and the licence itself shall state the country or the reference to zone V ( c) as defined in the Annex countries of export and of origin. The licence to Regulation No 694/67/EEC should be replaced by shall make it obligatory to import from that a reference to zone VII ( a) and ( b) as defined in the country or those countries .' Annex to Regulation (EEC ) No 941 /72 ;
Article2¶
This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day following its publication in the Official Journal of 1 OJ No L 174, 31.7.1967, p . 1 . the European Communities. This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
