REGULATION (EEC) No 2139/72 OF THE COUNCIL

of 3 October 1972 amending Regulation No 134/67/EEC as regards the standard amounts for calculating the sluice-gate price for pig carcases

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , Whereas general production and marketing costs, in particular the former, have also increased Having regard to the Treaty establishing the substantially on the world market in recent years ; European Economic Community ; whereas the standard amount representing these costs must therefore be fixed at a higher level ; Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 121 /67/EEC1 of 13 June 1967 on the common organization of the market in pigmeat, as last HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2727/71 ,2 and in particular Article 12 (4) thereof; Article 1 Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ;

Whereas the standard amounts referred to in Article The following shall be substituted for Article 3 of 12 (2) (b) and (c) of Regulation No 121 /67/EEC Regulation No 134/67/EEC : were fixed at 12% of the value of the quantity of £ 1 . The standard amount referred to in Article feed grain and 17-37 . units of account per 100 12 (2) (b) of Regulation No 121 /67/EEC shall be kilogrammes of pig carcases respectively by Council 15% of the value specified in Article 2 of this. Regulation No 134/67/EEC3 of 13 June 1967 Regulation . establishing the list of products for which sluice-gate prices are fixed and adopting the rules for fixing the 2 . The standard amount referred to in Article sluice-gate price for pig carcases, as last amended by 12 (2) (c) of Regulation No 121 /67/EEC shall be Regulation (EEC ) No 2/724 ; 20 units of account per 100 kilogrammes of pig carcases .' Whereas, in recent years, world market prices for feedingstuffs rich in protein, for mineral salts and for vitamins have increased more than those for Article 2 feedgrain ; whereas the percentage which expresses the surplus value of those products compared with grain may be estimated at 15% ; whereas the standard This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 November amount must therefore be amended accordingly ; 1972 .
