REGULATION (EEC) No 2292/72 OF THE COUNCIL of 31 October 1972 postponing the date of application of Regulation (EEC) No 1599/71 laying down additional conditions with which imported wines for direct human consumption have to comply

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNI­ finalisation of the list of quality wines for TIES , which exceptions are provided as regards the maximum sulphur dioxide content; whereas Having regard to the Treaty establishing the the date laid down for the application of European Economic Community; Regulation (EEC) No 1599/71 should thus be postponed; Having regard to Council Regulations (EEC) No 816/701 of 28 April 1970 laying down additional provisions for the common organisa­ tion of the market in wine, as last amended by HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Regulation (EEC) No 1651 /722 and in particular Article 28 ( 1 ) (b) thereof; Having regard to the proposal from the Article 1 Commission; "Whereas Regulation (EEC) No 1599/713 as last In Article 4 of Regulation (EEC) No 1599/71 the date 1 November 1972 shall be replaced by amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1373 /724 laid down additional conditions with ' which 1 April 1973 . imported wines for direct human consumption have to comply; whereas Article 4 of this Regulation provides for the introduction of Article 2 these additional conditions as from 1 Novem­ ber 1972; whereas the discussions with third This Regulation shall enter into force on the countries have not yet reached any definite day following its publication in the Official conclusion owing to problems raised by the Journal of the European Communities .
