REGULATION (EEC) No 225 /73 OF THE COUNCIL of 31 January 1973

amending Regulation (EEC) No 1349/72 on the production and marketing of eggs for hatching and poultry chicks

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Article 1 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; 1 . The following are added, with effect from 1 February 1973, to Article 5 (3 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 1349/72 : Having regard to the Treaty concerning the 'eggs for hatching' Accession of new Member States to the European Economic Community and the European Atomic ' rugeæg'. Energy Community (*), signed at Brussels on 22 2. With effect from 1 February 1973 , the first January 1972, and in particular Article 62 ( 1 ) on the sentence of Article 6 of the abovementioned Act annexed thereto ; Regulation is completed by the following :

'hatching' Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; 'rugeæg'.

Whereas linguistic adaptations made necessary by the Article 2 Accession of new Member States should be made to Council Regulation (EEC) No 1349/72 (2) of 27 June This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of 1972 on the production and marketing of eggs for its publication in the Official Journal of the hatching and poultry chicks ; European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
