REGULATION ( EEC) No 644/73 OF THE COMMISSION of 2 March 1973 on a provisional variation in the new Member States from a condition on the granting of aid for skimmed milk for use as feed

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN can be liberated, during a certain transitional period , COMMUNITIES, from carrying through the obligatory processing ; Having regard to the Treaty ( J ) concerning the Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation Accession of new Member States to the European are in accordance with the Opinion of the Man­ Economic Community and the European Atomic agement Committee for Milk and Milk Products ; Energy Community, signed at Brussels on 22 January 1972, and in particular Article 63 of the Act ( 2 ) HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : annexed thereto ; Article 1 Whereas in accordance with Article 2 ( 1 ) ( a ) of Regulation (EEC ) No 986/ 68 (3 ) of the Council of The new Member States can permit that up to 15 July 1968 , laying down general rules for granting 31 December 1973 the dairy processing of the aid for skimmed milk and skimmed-milk powder skimmed milk provided in Article ( 2 ) ( 1 ) ( a ) and (2 ) for use as feed , as last amended by Regulation ( EEC ) of Regulation (EEC ) No 986/ 68 is not carried No 1038 / 72 ( 4 ), the skimmed milk for which an aid through in the dairies in which the technical is to be granted must undergo a process ; whereas , equipment necessary for this processing is not yet according to Article 2 (2 ) of the aboveinentioned available . Regulation , this dairy processing includes at least Article 2 purification , pasteurization and cooling ; This Regulation shall enter into force on the thifd Whereas dairies in the new Member States are not day following its publication in the Official JourHdl yet totally provided with technical equipment of the European Communities . necessary for such dairy processing ; whereas it is therefore appropriate to foresee that these dairies This Regulation shall apply from 1 February 1973 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
