REGULATION (EEC) No 1343 /73 OF THE COUNCIL of 15 May 1973
fixing the basic prices and buying-in prices for fruit and vegetables for the 1973/74 marketing year
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, — as regards apples, from July to June of the following year, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the — as regards mandarins, from November to March European Economic Community, and in particular of the following year, Article 43 thereof; — as regards sweet oranges, from October to June Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No of the following year ; 1035/72 (*) of 18 May 1972 on the common organization of the market in fruit and vegetables, as last amended by Regulation (EEC ) No 2745 /72 (2), Whereas, however, pursuant to the third and in particular Article 16 ( 1 ) thereof; subparagraph of Article 16 ( 1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 1035/72, no basic price or buying-in price must Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; be fixed for the slack marketing periods at the beginning and at the end of the marketing year; whereas, moreover, a basic price and a buying-in Having regard to the Opinion of the European price have already been fixed for the month of May Parliament ; by Regulation (EEC) No 1111 /73 (3);

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Class I, size 57/67 mm and packed 'elongated' tomatoes of Quality Class I, size 40/47 mm. Article 1
Article 3 1 . For the period from 1 June 1973 to 30 April 1974, the basic price and buying-in price for cauliflowers, in units of account per 100 kilogrammes 1 . For the period from 1 June to 30 September net, shall be as follows : 1973 , the basic price and buying-in price for peaches (excluding nectarines), in units of account per 100 Basic price Buying-in price kilogrammes net, shall be as follows : June 10-9 4-6 Basic price Buying-in price July 8-7 3-6 June 20-0 12-0 August 8-7 3-6 July . 17-7 11-0 September 9-8 4-0 August 17-8 10-6 October 11-0 4-5 September 18-3 11-0 November 7-4 3-2 December 7-4 3-2 2. The prices quoted in paragraph 1 relate to the following packed products : January 7-4 3-1 — peaches of the Fior di Maggio (May Flower) February 6-5 2-6 variety, Quality Class I, size 51/61 mm, for the month of June, March 7 -6 3-1 — peaches of the Amsden, Charles Ingouf, and April 7-2 3-1 Sant'Anna varieties, Quality Class I, size 61/67 mm, for the month of July, 2. The prices quoted in paragraph 1 relate to the following packed products : — peaches of the Red Haven and Fair Haven varieties, Quality Class I, size 61 /67 mm, for the — 'trimmed' cauliflowers of Quality Class I, for the month of August, months of June, July, August, September and October, — peaches of the J. H. Hale variety, Quality Class I, size 61 /67 mm, for the month of September. — cauliflowers 'with leaves' of Quality Class I, for the months of November, December, January, February, March and April. Article 4

2. The prices quoted in paragraph 1 relate to grapes, in units of account per 100 kilogrammes net, packed lemons of Quality Class I, size 53 /62 mm. shall be as follows :

The prices quoted in paragraph 1 relate to the following packed products : December 19-3 12-6 — oranges of the Moro variety, Quality Class I, size January 18-7 11-6 67/80 mm, for the month of December, February 16-7 10-8 — oranges of the Sanguinello variety, Quality Class I, size 67/80 mm, for the months January to April. 2. The prices quoted in paragraph 1 relate to packed mandarins of Quality Class I, size 54/64 mm. Article 10
The prices quoted in Articles 1 to 9 do not include Article 9 the cost of the packaging in which the product is presented .
1 . For the period from 1 December 1973 to 30 Article 11 April 1974, the basic price and buying-in price for sweet oranges, in units of account per 100 This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 June kilogrammes net, shall be as follows : 1973 .
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
