REGULATION (EEC) No 1348 /73 OF THE COUNCIL of 15 May 1973 fixing the target price for husked rice for the 1973 /74 marketing year

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, particular to ensure a fair standard of living for the agricultural community, to ensure that supplies are Having regard to the Treaty establishing the available and that they reach consumers at European Economic Community, and in particular reasonable prices ; Article 43 thereof; Whereas the target price for rice must be fixed at a Having regard to Council Regulation No rate which takes account of the level and intended 359/67/EEC (*) of 25 July 1967 on the common trends of production, the uses made of rice and the organization of the market in rice, as last amended by improvement of farm incomes ; the Act (*) concerning the Conditions of Accession and the Adjustments to the Treaties, and in particular Whereas application of these criteria entails fixing the Article 2 (4) thereof; target price at a level slightly above that adopted for the preceding marketing year; Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ;

Whereas, when the target price for rice is fixed, Sole Article account should be taken of the objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy and of the contribution which the Community desires to make to the For the 1973 /74 marketing year, the target price for harmonious development of world trade; whereas the husked rice shall be 21-325 units of account per 100 objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy are in kilogrammes .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
