REGULATION (EEC) No 1364/73 OF THE COUNCIL of 15 May 1973

fixing the premiums granted to purchasers of leaf tobacco from the 1973 harvest

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, resulting from first processing and preparation for market ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the Whereas the amount of the premium theoretically European Economic Community ; applicable to all tobaccos of the relevant variety should be fixed, for each of the varieties produced in Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No the Community and for the corresponding reference 727/70 (*) of 21 April 1970 on the common quality, per kilogramme of leaf tobacco which has organization of the market in raw tobacco, as last not undergone first processing and preparation for market ; amended by the Act (2) concerning the Conditions of Accession and the Adjustment to the Treaties, and in particular Article 4 (4) thereof; Whereas, application of these rules and criteria to the market situation in raw tobacco entails fixing the premium on the basis of the prices for baled tobacco ; Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; whereas there is international trade in this tobacco ; whereas the price of third country and Community baled tobacco should therefore be taken into Having regard to the Opinion of the European consideration ; whereas this price may be calculated Parliament ; for Community tobacco on the basis of the norm price for each variety of leaf tobacco, as adjusted by a coefficient expressing the loss in weight resulting Whereas the purpose of the premium granted to from first processing and from preparation for purchasers of each of the varieties of leaf tobacco is market, and as increased by an amount representing to secure the norm price and to ensure that there are costs directly related to such processing and outlets for tobacco produced in the Community; preparation ;
