REGULATION (EEC) No 1756/73 OF THE COMMISSION of 29 June 1973 fixing accession compensatory amounts for the 1973/74 sugar marketing year

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation COMMUNITIES, are in accordance with the Opinion of the Manage­ ment Committee for Sugar ; Having regard to the Treaty (') concerning the Acces­ sion of new Member States to the European Economic Community and the European Atomic Energy HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Community, signed at Brussels on 22 January 1 972 ;

Having regard to the Council Regulation (EEC) No 241 /73 (2) of 31 January 1973 laying down general Article 1 rules for the system of compensatory amounts for sugar following the Accession of new Member States The compensatory amounts for sugar applicable to the Community, as amended by Regulation (EEC) during the 1973/74 sugar marketing year in trade No 1 638 /73 (3 ), and in particular Article 2a ; between the Community as originally constituted and the new Member States, in trade between the new Whereas Council Regulation (EEC) No 1 637/73 (4) of Member States themselves as well as between the new 18 June 1973 fixing for the 1973/74 marketing year Member States and third countries : the derived intervention prices, the intervention prices for raw beet sugar, the minimum prices for beet, the (a) shall be fixed for the products listed in Annex I in threshold prices, the guaranteed quantity, the the manner indicated in that Annex ; maximum amount of the production levy and the (b) shall be obtained in respect of the products in special maximum quota fixed for Ireland and the Article 1 ( l)(d) of Regulation No 1009/67/ EEC by United Kingdom prices different from the level of multiplying the basic compensatory amount indi­ common prices ; whereas under Article 2a of Regula­ cated in Annex II by the sucrose content inclu­ tion (EEC) No 241 /73 the subsequent fixing of the sive of the content of other sugars expressed in accession compensatory amounts should therefore be sucrose of the product in question . effected in accordance with the procedure laid down in Article 40 of Council Regulation No 1009/ 67/EEC (5) of 18 December 1967 on the common Art idc 2 organization of the market in sugar, as last amended by Regulation ( EEC) No 101 4/73 (6) ; This Regulation enter shall into force on 1 July 1973 .
