REGULATION (EEC ) No 1768/73 OF THE COMMISSION of 29 June 1973

amending Regulation (EEC) No 364/73 adopting special measures for new Member States for white sugar used in the chemical industry

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN in this matter to several chemical products using COMMUNITIES , sugar manufactured till now in the new Member States ; whereas the reasons which have justified the adoption of that measure are still valid ; whereas Having regard to the Treaty establishing the Euro­ expecting a final solution for this problem it is pean Economic Community ; necessary to prorogue until 31 December 1973 those interim measures ; Having regard to the Treaty ( x ) concerning the Accession of new Member States to the European Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation Economic Community and the European Atomic are in accordance with the Opinion of the Man­ Energy Community, signed at Brussels on 22 January agement Committee for Sugar ; 1972, and in particular Article 63 ( 1 ) of the Act ( 2 ) annexed thereto ;

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to Council Regulation No 1009/67/ EEC (8 ) of 18 December 1967 on the common or­ Article 1 ganization of the market in sugar, as last amended by Regulation (EEC ) No 1014/73 (4), and in par­ ticular Article 9 ( 8 ) thereof ; In Article 1 ( 1 ) of Regulation ( EEC ) No 364/73 the date '30 June 1973 ' is replaced by '31 December 1973 ' Whereas Regulation ( EEC ) No 364/73 ( 5 ) of the Commission of 31 January 1973 adopting special measures for new Member States for white sugar Article 2 used in the chemical industry has in particular pro­ vided as interim measures the assistance under special terms by the rules governing the Community This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 July 1973 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
