REGULATION (EEC) No 2286/73 OF THE COUNCIL of 24 July 1973

on the conclusion of a Protocol laying down certain provisions relating to the Agreement establishing an Association between the European Economic Community and the Tunisian Republic consequent on the Accession of new Member States to the European Economic Community

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Article 1 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, and in particular The Protocol laying down certain provisions relating Article 238 thereof; to the Agreement establishing an Association between the European Economic Community and the Tunisian Republic consequent on the Accession of Having regard to the Treaty (*) concerning the new Member States to the European Economic Accession of new Member States to the European Community, the Annexes thereto and the declaration Economic Community and the European Atomic and exchange of letters annexed to the Final Act, are Energy Community, and in particular Article 108 of concluded, approved and confirmed on behalf of the the Act annexed thereto ; Community. The texts of the Protocol and the Final Act are annexed to this Regulation. Having regard to the recommendation of the Article 2 Commission ; The President of the Council of the European Communities shall, pursuant to the provisions of Having regard to the Opinion of the European Article 10 of the Protocol, give notification that the Parliament; procedures necessary for the entry into force of the Protocol have been completed in respect of the Whereas a Protocol should be concluded laying down Community (2). certain provisions relating to the Agreement Article 3 establishing an Association between the European Economic Community and the Tunisian Republic This Regulation shall enter into force on the third consequent on the Accession of new Member States day following its publication in the Official Journal to the European Economic Community ; of the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
