REGULATION (EEC) No 2788 /73 OF THE COMMISSION of 12 October 1973 re-establishing Common Customs Tariff duties on yarn of combed sheep's or lambs' wool (worsted yarn), not put up for retail sale falling within CCT heading No 53.07 originating in Brazil to which the preferential tariff arrangements set out in Council Regulation (EEC) No 2766/72 of 19 December 1972 apply
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN 230 metric tons, and therefore the maximum amount COMMUNITIES, 115 metric tons ; whereas on 5 October 1973 the amounts of imports into the Community of yarn of Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European combed sheep's or lambs' wool (worsted yarn), not put Economic Community ; up for retail sale originating in Brazil a country Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No covered by preferential tariff arrangements reached 2766/72 (') of 19 December 1972 establishing prefer that maximum amount ; whereas, bearing in mind the ential tariffs in respect of certain textile products and objectives of Regulation (EEC) No 2766/72, which footwear originating in developing countries, and in provides that maximum amounts should not be particular Article 4 ( 2) thereof ; exceeded, Common Customs Tariff duties should be re-established in respect of the products in question Whereas Article 1 (3) and (4) of that Regulation in relation to Brazil , provides that the Common Customs Tariff duties may, for each category of textile products, be HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : suspended up to a Community ceiling equal to the sum arrived at by adding together the metric tonnage Article 1 of the products in question, imported into the Community in 1968 and coming from countries listed As from 16 October 1973 , Common Customs Tariff in Annex B to that Regulation, but not including duties, suspended in pursuance of Council Regulation products coming from countries already covered by ( EEC) No 2766/72 of 19 December 1972, shall be various preferential tariff arrangerrTents established by re-established in respect of the following products, the Community, and 5 % of the 1970 metric tonnage imported into the Community and originating in of such imports coming from other countries and Brazil . from countries already covered by such arrangements ; whereas, having regard to that Ceiling, the amounts for products originating in any one of the countries listed CCT heading No Description of goods in Annex B to that Regulation should be within a maximum Community amount representing 50 % of that ceiling ; whereas Article 2 (2) of that Regulation 53.07 Yam of combed sheen's or lambs' wool provides that Common Customs Tariff duties may be ( worsted yarn ), not put up for retail sale re-established at any time in respect of imports of the products in question originating in any of the said countries once the relevant Community maximum amount has been reached ; Article 2 Whereas, in respect of yarn of combed sheep's or This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day lambs' wool (worsted yarn ), not put up for retail sale following its publication in the Official Journal of the ceiling , calculated as indicated above , should be the European Communities.
I his Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
