REGULATION ( EEC) No 2824/ 73 OF THE COMMISSION of 17 October 1973 re-establishing Common Customs Tariff duties on hydraulic cements, falling within heading No 25.23 , originating in Yugoslavia, to which the preferential tariff arrangements set out in Council Regulation (EEC) No 2762/72 of 19 December 1972 apply
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN hydraulic cements, whether or not coloured or in the COMMUNITIES , form of clinker, the ceiling, calculated as indicated above , should be 457 000 units of account, and there Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European fore the maximum amount 228 500 units of account ; Economic Community ; whereas on 15 October 1973 the amounts of imports Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No into the Community of Portland cement, ciment 2762/72 (') of 19 December 1972 establishing prefer fondu , slag cement supersulphate cement and similar ential tariffs in respect of certain products originating hydraulic cements, whether or not coloured or in the in developing countries, and in particular Article 4 (2) form of clinker originating in Yugoslavia, a country thereof ; covered by preferential tariff arrangements, reached Whereas Article 1 (3) and (4) of that Regulation that maximum amount ; whereas, bearing in mind the provides that the Common Customs Tariff duties objectives of Regulation (EEC) No 2762/ 72, which may , for each category of products, be supended up to provides that maximum amounts should not be a Community ceiling, expressed in units of account, exceeded , Common Customs Tariff duties should be which will usually be equal to the sum arrived at by re-established in respect of the products in question adding together the value of the products in question in relation to Yugoslavia , imported cif into the Community in 1968 and coming from countries and territories covered by HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : those arrangements, but not including products coming from countries and territories already covered Article 1 by various preferential tariff arrangements established by the Community , and 5 % of the value of 1970 cif As from 21 October 1973 , Common Customs Tariff imports coming from other countries and from coun duties, suspended in pursuance of Council Regulation tries and territories already covered by such arrange ( EEC) No 27 62/ 72 of 19 December , 1972, shall be ments ; re-established in respect of the following products, Whereas , having regard to that ceiling, the amounts imported into the Community and originating in for products originating in any one of the countries or Yugoslavia : territories listed in Annex B to that Regulation should be within a maximum Community amount repre C C T heading Description of goods senting 50 % of that ceiling, with the exception of No certain products for which the maximum amount is to be reduced to the percentage indicated in Annex A to 25.23 Portland cement, ciment fondu , slag that Regulation ; cement , supersulphate cement and si milar hydraulic cements, whether or not Whereas Article 2 (2) of that Regulation provides that coloured or in the form of clinker the Common Customs Tariff duties may be re-established at any time in respect of imports of the products in question originating in any of the said Article 2 countries or territories once the relevant Community maximum amount has been reached ; ibis Regulation shall enter into force on the third day Whereas, in respect of Portland cement, ciment following its publication in the Official Journal of fondu , slag cement, supersulphate cement and similar the European (,'(immunities.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
