REGULATION ( EEC) No 3018 / 73 OF THE COMMISSION of 7 November 1973 fixing the import levy on molasses

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN — for other currencies an exchange rate based on the COMMUNITIES , arithmetic mean of the spot market rates of each of these currencies recorded for a given period , in Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European relation to the Community currencies referred toin Economic Community ; the previous subparagraph ; Having regard to Council Regulation No 1009/ Whereas it follows from applying the rules and other 67/ EEC (') of 18 December 1967 on the common provisions contained in Regulation ( EEC) No 1739 /73 organization of the market in sugar, as last amended to the information at present available to the Commis­ by Regulation ( EEC) No 1 928 / 73 (2 ), and in particular sion that the levy at present in force should be altered Article 14 (7 ) thereof ; as shown in the Annex to this Regulation ; Having regard to the Opinion of the Monetary Committee ; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Whereas the import levy on molasses was fixed by Article 1 Regulation ( EEC) No 1739/ 73 and subsequent amending Regulations (3 ) ; The levy referred to in Article 14 (1) of Regulation No Whereas if the levy system is to operate normally , 1009 / 67/ EEC is , in respect of molasses , hereby fixed levies should be calculated on the following basis : as shown in the Annex to this Regulation .

— in the case of currencies which are maintained in Article 2 relation to each other, at any given moment, within a band of 2·25 % , a rate of exchange based This Regulation shall enter into force on 8 November 1 973 . on their effective parity ;

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
