REGULATION (EEC) No 3579/73 OF THE COUNCIL of 28 December 1973 on the increase in volume of the supplementary Community tariff quota for ferro-silicon falling within subheading No 73.02 C of the Common Customs Tariff for 1973
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , the framework of the said increase should be set at 7%, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, and in particular Article 28 thereof; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :
Having regard to the draft Regulation submitted by Article 1 the Commission ; The volume set out in Article 1 of Regulation ( EEC ) Whereas by Regulation (EEC) No 2729/72 (»), the No 2729/72 shall be increased to 27 000 metric tons ; Council opened and allocated among the Member within the framework of this increase the quota States, for the year 1973 , a duty-free conventional duty shall be suspended at the level of 7 %>. Community tariff quota of 20 000 metric tons of ferro-silicon falling within subheading No 73.02 C of the Common Customs Tariff ; Article 2
Whereas, in view of current Community production The share assigned to Benelux under Article 2 of Regulation (EEC) No 2729/72 .shall be increased to potential, the said quota volume will not suffice to 22 500 metric tons . cover the import requirements of certain Member States for ferro-silicon from third countries ; whereas it is therefore desirable to increase the volume of the said quota, while however limiting Article 3 the increase to 7 000 metric tons in view of the need not to jeopardize future expansion of this This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of production sector in the Community; whereas for its publication in the Oftidal J&urnal of the the same reasons the quota duty applicable within European Communities.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in .all Member States .
