REGULATION (EEC) No 3596/73 OF THE COUNCIL of 28 December 1973 on the definition of the concept of ' originating products ' for the implementation by the new Member States of Articles 109 (2) and 119 (2) of the Act of Accession in trade with certain Associated States and overseas countries and territories

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , 1 /71 of the Association Council set up under the Agreement establishing an Association between Having regard to the Treaty establishing the the European Economic Community and the European Economic Community, and in particular United Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Article 113 thereof; Uganda and the Republic of Kenya, amended by Regulation (EEC) No 686/72 (6);

Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; — the Council Decision of 7 June 1971 (7) on the definition of the concept of 'originating products' Whereas pursuant to Articles 109 (2 ) and 119 (2 ) of and methods of administrative cooperation for the Act (*) concerning the Conditions of Accession the purpose of implementing the Decision of 29 and the Adjustments to the Treaties, hereinafter September 1970 on the Association of overseas referred to as 'the Act of Accession', products countries and territories with the European originating in the Associated States referred to in Economic Community, amended by the Decision Article 109 ( 1 ) and products originating in the of 6 December 1972 (8), overseas countries and territories referred to in Article 119 ( 1 ) are subject on importation into the new Member States to the same arrangements as HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : applied to them before Accession ; whereas alignment with the Common Customs Tariff in the new Member States must not therefore lead to an increase in the rate of customs duty applicable to products Article 1 originating in the Associated States and the overseas countries and territories ; whereas , therefore, it is desirable to specify the rules to be applied for the 1 .
