altering the monetary compensatory amounts

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas Council Regulation (EEC) No 2958/73 (7) of COMMUNITIES , 31 October 1973 , as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 197/74 (8), fixed a representative conversion rate Having regard to the Treaty establishing the Euro for the Italian lira to be applied in agriculture with pean Economic Community ; effect from 1 January 1974 ; whereas, however, the new Article 4b of Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No stipulates that for products for which a marketing 974/71 ( x ) of 12 May 1971 on certain measures of year is fixed the economic effects of this measure conjunctural policy to be taken in agriculture must, as a general rule, be deferred to the beginning following the temporary widening of the margins of of the 1974/75 marketing year; whereas to this end, fluctuation for the currencies of certain Member under the terms of that Article, the intervention and States, as last amended by Regulation ( EEC) No buying-in prices valid in Italy are, until the end of 3450/73 (2 ), and in particular Article 3 thereof; the 1973 /74 marketing year, fixed at the level, expressed in lira, resulting from the application of Whereas the monetary compensatory amounts in provisions in force on 31 December 1973 and 31 troduced by Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 were fixed October 1973 for sugar; whereas for products to by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 218 /74 (3 ) of which monetary compensatory amounts apply, the 25 January 1974, as last amended by Regulation incidence of this measure must be taken into account ( EEC ) No 881 /74 ( 4 ); when such amounts are being fixed,

Whereas pursuant to Article 3 of Regulation (EEC ) No 974/ 71 , monetary compensatory amounts must be altered if the difference referred to in Article 2 ( 1 ) of that Regulation changes by at least 1 point from HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : the percentage taken as a basis for the preceding determination ; whereas the compensatory amounts must be altered in line with the change in this dif Article 1 ference ;

2) Montants compensatoires de base pour les ^changes intracommunautaires. Pour les échanges avec les pays tiers, les montants compensatoires valables sont les suivants : (a) Basic compensatory amounts for intra-Community exchanges.
