REGULATION (EEC) No 1133/74 OF THE COUNCIL of 29 April 1974 fixing the basic price and the standard quality for slaughtered pigs for the period from 1 November 1974 to 31 October 1975

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , Whereas the basic price must be fixed in accordance with the criteria laid down in Article 4 ( 1 ) of Regu­ lation No 121 /67/EEC for a standard quality defined according to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2108/ Having regard to the Treaty establishing the Euro­ 70 (3) of 20 October 1970 determining the Com­ pean Economic Community and in particular munity scale for grading pig carcases, as last amended Article 43 thereof; by the Act of Accession (4 );

Having regard to the Opinion of the European HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Parliament ; Article 1 Having regard to the Opinion of the Economic and For the period from 1 November 1974 to 31 October Social Committee ; 1975, the basic price for slaughtered pigs of the standard quality shall be fixed at 93 units of account Whereas, when the basic price for slaughtered pigs per 100 kilogrammes . is fixed, account should be taken of the objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy and of the Article 2 contribution which the Community desires to make to the harmonious development of world trade ; The standard quality shall be the quality for pig whereas the objectives of the Common Agricultural carcases of Class II of the Community scale for Policy are in particular to ensure a fair standard of grading pig carcases laid down by Regulation (EEC) living for the agricultural community, to ensure that No 2108 /70, excluding those carcases with a weight supplies are available and that they reach consumers of less than 70 kilogrammes and those with a weight at reasonable prices ; equal to or greater than 160 kilogrammes.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
