REGULATION ( EEC) No 1134/74 OF THE COUNCIL
of 29 April 1974
fixing the norm prices , the intervention prices and the reference qualities for leaf tobacco from the 1974 harvest
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , 2 (2) of Regulation (EEC) No 727/70 for each of the varieties of Community production and for a refer ence quality of each variety; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the Euro pean Economic Community, and in particular Article 43 thereof; Whereas the application of these criteria leads in the case of certain varieties to the fixing of norm and intervention prices for leaf tobacco at a higher level Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC ) No 727/ 70 (*) of 21 April 1970 on the common organization than for the previous harvest ; of the market in raw tobacco, as last amended by the Act of Accession (2), and in particular Article 2 (5 ) Whereas, however, the marketing of production has thereof; not taken place in the same way for all varieties; whereas there should therefore be varying rates of Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; price increases to improve the orientation of pro duction , Having regard to the Opinion of the European Parliament ; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Whereas, when the norm and intervention prices for leaf tobacco which has not undergone first processing Article 1 and market preparation are fixed, account should be taken both of the objectives of the Common Agri For the 1974 harvest the reference qualities for each cultural Policy and of the contribution which the Community produced tobacco variety referred to in Community intends to make to the harmonious Article 2 (3 ) (c) of Regulation (EEC) No 727/70 are growth of world trade ; whereas the aims of the shown in Annex I.
