REGULATION ( EEC) No 1682/74 OF THE COMMISSION of 28 June 1974 fixing the special export levy for white sugar and raw sugar

Having regard to the Opinion of the Monetary — for currencies which are kept within a maximum Committee ; spread at any given moment of 2-25 % on a conversion rate, based on their actual parities ; Whereas, pursuant to Article 16 of Regulation No — for other currencies, on a conversion rate based on 1009 /67/ EEC, where the Community or any region the arithmetic mean of the spot exchange rates thereof cannot be supplied with sugar at prices within recorded over a given period for those currencies the limit of the threshold price, provision may be against those mentioned in the preceding subpara­ made for charging a special export levy on sugar ; graph , Whereas the threshold prices for white sugar and raw sugar were fixed by Regulation (EEC) No 1 600/74 (4) ; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Whereas the present world market situation allows Article 1 sugar exports from the Community at a price level which is susceptible to a rise in the ex-works price in The special export levy on sugar provided for in the the area of the Community having the greatest surplus second subparagraph of Article 16 ( 1 ) of Regulation for a delivery, such that in particular the deliveries No 1009/ 67/ EEC shall be as shown in the Annex . within the limits of the threshold price to the south of Italy, which is the most distant deficit region , risk Article 2 becoming uncertain , whereas a special export levy should , therefore be fixed ; This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 July 1974.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
