REGULATION ( EEC) No 1742/74 OF THE COMMISSION of 4 July 1974 fixing the reference prices for hybrid maize for sowing for the 1974/75 marketing year

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas Article 1 of the above Regulation defined the COMMUNITIES , stage of marketing and putting up for sale to be taken into consideration for fixing the reference price ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the Opinion of the Manage­ Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No ment Committee for Seeds, 2358 /71 (') of 26 October 1971 on the common organ­ ization of the market in seeds, as last amended by Regulation ( EEC) No 111 9/74 (2), and in particular HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Article 6 ( 5) thereof ; Whereas Article 6 ( 1 ) of Regulation ( EEC) No 2358 /71 Article 1 provides that a reference price for each type of hybrid maize for sowing shall be fixed annually ; whereas For the 1974/75 marketing year the reference prices these reference prices must be fixed on the basis of for the various types of hybrid maize for sowing the free-at-frontier prices recorded during the past falling within subheading 10.05 A of the Common three marketing years, abnormally low prices being Customs Tariff shall be as shown in the Annex . disregarded ; whereas pursuant to Article 2 of Council Regulation ( EEC) No 1 578 /72 (3) of 20 July 1972 laying down general rules for fixing the reference Article 2 prices and determining free-at-frontier offer prices for hybrid maize for sowing, only prices for third country This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its imports which are representative as regards quantity publication in the Official Journal of the European and quality should be taken into account ; Communities.
