REGULATION (EEC) No 2520/74 OF THE COMMISSION of 4 October 1974 repealing Regulation (EEC) No 270/73 on the exchange rate to be applied in agriculture for the currencies of the new Member States

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas the measures provided , for in this COMMUNITIES, Regulation, in so far as they relate to prices or amounts to be fixed in accordance with the procedure laid down in Article 26 of Council Having regard to the Treaty establishing the Regulation No 120/67/EEC (8) of 13 June 19'67 on European Economic Community; the common organization of the market in cereals, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1996/74 (9), or Having regard to Council Regulation No 129 (1) on as the case may be in the corresponding Articles of the value of the unit of account and the exchange the other Regulatibns on the common organization of rates to be applied for the purposes of the common agricultural markets, are in accordance with the agricultural policy, as last amended by Regulation Opinions of the relevant Management Committees (EEC) No 2543/73 (2), and in particular Article 3 set up for the purposes of the common agricultural thereof; policy,

Whereas Council Regulation (EEC) No 222/73 (3) of HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION: 31 January 1973 , as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 560/73 (4), together with Commission Regulation (EEC) .No 270/73 (5) of 31 January 1973 , as amended Article 1 by Regulation (EEC) No 657/73 (6), fixed exchange rates to be applied in agriculture for the currencies of Regulation (EEC) No 270/73 is hereby repealed with the new Member States ; effect from 7 October 1974.

Whereas the provisions concerning the representative rates for the new Member States have been Article 2 consolidated with effect from 7 October 1974 in Council Regulation (EEC) No 2498/74 (7) of 2 This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of October 1974; whereas Regulation (EEC) No 270/73 its publication in the Official Journal of the should therefore be repealed; European Communities.
