REGULATION ( EEC) No 2599/74 OF THE COMMISSION of 11 October 1974 supplementing certain provisions of Regulations ( EEC) No 2637 / 70 and ( EEC) No 432/71 as regards advance fixing certificates for beef and veal

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation COMMUNITIES, are in accordance with the Opinion of the Manage­ ment Committee for Beef and Veal ,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ;

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 805/68 (!) of 27 June 1968 on the common organiza­ tion of the market in beef and veal , as last amended Article 1 by Regulation ( EEC) No 1 855/74 (2), and in particular Article 1 2a ( 2) thereof ; Article 39a ( 1 ) of Regulation ( EEC) No 2637/70 is replaced by the following :

Whereas Commission Regulation ( EEC) No ' 1 . Sections 13 and 14 of the application for an 2637/ 70 (3 ) of 23 December 1970 on special detailed advance fixing certificate as referred to in Article rules for the application of the system of import and 12a of Regulation ( EEC) No 805 / 68 and of the export licences and advance fixing certificates for agri­ certificate itself shall contain : cultural products, as last amended by Regulation ( EEC) No 21 86/74 (4), laid down inter alia special — either one of the following endorsements : detailed rules for the application of the system of import licences and advance fixing certificates to beef 'Argentine' and veal ; 'Argentina' 'Argentinien ' Whereas Article 12(5) of Regulation (EEC) No 805 / 68 'Argentinie'. introduced a system whereby the levy on certain beef and veal products originating in and coming from — or the following endorsement : ' Uruguay'. countries which , in view of the length of the sea route, have concluded an agreement in this respect with the Every certificate so endorsed shall carry with it an Community comprising certain guarantees to be fixed in advance ; obligation to import from the country in ques­ tion .'

Whereas the Eastern Republic of Uruguay has entered into such an agreement with the Community ; Article 2 whereas the advance fixing system should therefore be extended to that country ; Article 1 of Regulation ( EEC) No 432 / 71 is replaced by the following :

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
