REGULATION ( EEC) No 2616/74 OF THE COMMISSION of 14 October 1974 amending Regulation (EEC) No 2637/70 as regards the special period of validity for export licences for cereals and rice
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas the fixing of export levies is intended to COMMUNITIES, prevent disturbances on the Community market by ensuring a sufficient supply of cereals but does not preclude exportation ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; Whereas Article 24 of Regulation (EEC) No 2637/70 provides that where advance fixing of the refund is requested the period of validity set for the export licence may be longer than the normal period ; Having regard to Council Regulation No 120/ 67/EEC ( 1 ) of 13 June 1967 on the common organiza tion of the market in cereals, as last amended by Regu Whereas it would appear desirable for the purposes of lation (EEC) No 1996/74 (2), and in particular Article certain special export operations to make provision for 1 2 (2) thereof ; a similar special period of validity in cases where an export levy applies ;
Having regard to Council Regulation No 359/ Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation 67/EEC (3) of 25 July 1967 on the common organiza are in accordance with the Opinion of the Manage tion of the market in rice, as last amended by Regula ment Committee for Cereals , tion (EEC) No 11 29/74 (4), and in particular Article 1 0 (2) thereof ;
HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 1968/73 (5) of 19 July 1973 laying down general rules to be applied in the event of the cereals market being disturbed, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No Article 1 676/74 (6), and in particular Article 4(1 ) thereof ;
The first sentence of Article 24 (2) of Regulation ( EEC) No 2637/70 is replaced by the following : Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No 2737/73 ( 7) of 8 October 1973 laying down general ' 2 . This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
