REGULATION (EEC) No 474/75 OF THE COUNCIL

fixing the basic prices and buying-in prices for fruit and vegetables for the" 1975/76 marketing year and derogating for this marketing year from Article 23 of Regulation (EEC) No 1035/72 as regards certain reference prices

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas, however, pursuant to the third subpara­ COMMUNITIES, graph of Article 16 ( 1) of Regulation (EEC) No 1035/ 72, no basic price or buying-in price must be fixed for the slack marketing periods at the beginning and Having regard to the Treaty establishing the at the end of the marketing year; European Economic Community, and in particular Article 43 thereof;

— as regards peaches, from May to October, Whereas the glasshouse production of cucumbers and — as regards lemons, from June to May of the tomatoes is characterized, by reason in particular of following year, higher fuel prices, by an increase in production costs — as regards pears, from June to May of the which is greater than that observed with open air following year, produce; whereas in consequence, in order that the reference prices for glasshouse produce can attain — as regard table grapes, from May to April of the their objective, there are grounds for increasing them following year, for part of the marketing season, — as regards apples, from July to June of the following year,
