REGULATION (EEC) No 662/75 OF THE COUNCIL of 4 March 1975 fixing the production target price for olive oil for the 1975/76 marketing year

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , Whereas the target price referred to above must be fixed in accordance with the criteria laid down in Having regard to the Treaty establishing the Articles 4 and 5 of Regulation No 136/66/EEC for European Economic Community, and in particular a determined standard quality; Article 43 thereof; Whereas the reasons which led to the determination Having regard to Council Regulation No 136/66/ of the standard quality for the preceding marketing EEC ( 1 ) of 22 September 1966 on the common year are still valid ; whereas that standard quality organization of the market in oils and fats, as last should therefore remain unchanged; amended by Regulation ( EEC ) No 1707/73 (2 ), and in particular the first subparagraph of Article 4 Whereas application of those criteria entails fixing thereof ; the production target price at a higher level than that adopted for the preceding marketing year, Having regard to the proposal from the Com­ mission ;

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to the Opinion of the European Parliament ; Article 1 Having regard to the Opinion of the Economic and Social Committee ; For the 1975/76 marketing year, the production target price for olive oil shall be 185 units of account Whereas, when the production target price for olive per 100 kg. oil is fixed, account should be taken of the objectives of the common agricultural policy and of the contribution which the Community desires Article 2 to make to the harmonious development of world trade ; whereas the objectives of the common agricultural policy are in particular to ensure a fair The price referred to in Article 1 relates to semi-fine standard of living for the agricultural Community, virgin olive oil with a free fatty acid content, to ensure that supplies are available and that they expressed as oleic acid, of three grammes per reach consumers at reasonable prices ; 100 grammes .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
